The Mayor, Paloma García Galvez met with more than 50 British residents of Benalmadena to provide them with information on matters including the benefits of registering on the local census. The meeting took place at the Innova Park in Arroyo de la Miel and allowed people to express their concerns and what they would like to see in the town.

Forty percent of the foreign residents in the town are Britiesh, amounting to around 10,000 people. The mayor was accompanied by the Councillor for Foreign Residents, Adolfo Fernandez, who said how pleased he was at the acceptance the event had met among British residents.
