'Benalmádena, Environmental Poetry' is a project that links the world of poetry with the latest technology. It is presented with a poetic recital within the Culture on the Street program organized by the Delegation of Culture of the City Council, but extends until December 31, 2019.

To enjoy this experience you only need a smartphone and get carried away by the magic of poetry.

Along the 3 population centers of the city, beacon devices will be incorporated to 10 emblematic locations in the town. These devices use a technology that falls within the scope known as 'internet of things.' Its main function is to establish a communication between a physical object and a device connected to the internet. These beacons turn buildings into an information-emitting environment, a context capable of interacting with passers-by who approach that building. This is achieved with a technology called BLE, with which a bluetooth signal is emitted in a radius of approximately 30 meters.
In order to receive this signal it is necessary to have the bluetooth of your mobile device activated and download a beacon signal reception application. There are several free apps on the market such as Physical Web by Bleesk on any mobile operating system. The initiative can be enjoyed all year 2019.
