José Antonio Jiménez Muñoz, was born on the 5th of August 1978, in one of the most popular streets of Benalmadena Pueblo (Malaga). Since childhood he has shown a great interest and dedication for art in its various aspects.

His career is characterized by constant learning and improving. Apart from multiple courses of drawing, developed in Malaga, he learned from other artists like the sculptor from Granada Miguel Moreno and the drawing teacher Martín Ocaña.

He obtained the bachelor of art at the University of Granada in 2003 and completed his academic training at the University of Malaga in 2007, with the Certificate of Advanced Studies (DEA). He is currently preparing his doctoral thesis under the Department of the History of Art dedicated to painters of the avant-garde from Malaga.

José Antonio Jiménez Muñoz has tried various painting techniques and represents today symbiosis between figuration and modernity. Secular and religious paintings, landscapes, portraits, posters and experiments are examples of an interesting professional trajectory. José Antonio, has a great concern for classical painting, and he tries to interact between the classical and contemporary art.

His works are very original, thanks to a wide range of lights and line drawings applied broadly. Examples of it are his secular works, specially landscapes and urban forms, which are truly the best exponents of his artistic career.
