Making the town safer for visitors

The Mayor of Benalmadena Paloma García and the Secretary of State for Security, Francisco Martinez, signed an agreement to lunch a Foreign Tourist’ Attention Centre in the town.

It will be located on the cost at the Tourist Office, and will provide information in English to resolve any matter with the police.

The service will be launched early this year to improve the image of safety which foreign visitors perceive in Benalmadena and is just one step more towards the quality and excellence the town offers tourists.

It will be manned by two National Police officers and two Local Police officers and will allow foreign tourists to file reports, cancel credit cards, and ask questions regarding documents and other safety procedures. It will also help foreign tourists to contact their respective consulates when required.
