Festival of Christmas Traditions

The Foreigners Department of the Benalmadena Ayuntamiento have organised a Festival of Christmas Traditions

The event takes place in the Puerto Deportivo de Benalmadena starting on the twelfth of the twelfth at twelve o’clock - that is this Saturday coming, December 12th and starting at mid-day. It also continues on to Sunday.

Saturday morning will be dedicated to the children with a visit from Santa to collect their letters, giving out sweets and a ticket for the raffle which will take place on Sunday 13th at 7.30pm. On top of this there will be Globoflexia, Make-up, dancing, games, magic and a whole host of other activities for them.

From 4 - 8pm on Saturday will be the International Afternoon with performances from local schools and choirs. On Sunday 13th, the Three Kings will visit. The children can again give their letters with their wishes on them, be given sweets and a raffle ticket for the afternoon’s Toys Raffle to take place at 7.30pm. At 5pm there will be a concert of traditional Spanish Christmas songs followed by performances from two local choirs. At 6.30pm there will be a display of Irish Dancing and one from the Dance School Montserrat. Stands representing Spain, Argentina, Germany, Chile, Peru, Jamaica, Norway, Brazil, Vietnam etc will be selling their traditional Christmas presents.
