I.V.T.M. (Impuesto de Circulación de Vehículos de Tracción Mecánica)
This is a Road Tax, the amount depends on the size of the vehicle, calculated on the horsepower.

No Parking permit (Vado)
This is the rate for restricted use of public roads (pavement) for vehicles entering and leaving buildings. ”Keep Clear”

I.B.I. (Impuesto sobre Bienes Inmuebles)
This is a local property tax and is based on the assessed value of the property.

I.A.E. (Impuesto de Actividades Económicas)
Tax on Economic Activities is payable for monies earned in Spain.

This year the discount of IBI is 55% , you can get 5% aditional if you pay by direct debit.

You can obtain a subsidy for the payment of I.B.I. if you fulfil two requirements, you need:

1.To be registered before the 1st of January of the year for which you are requesting a subsidy.
2.Not to have any debts with the Town Hall on 20th of April of the year for which you are requesting a subsidy.
In the event of owning several properties, this subsidy will be applied only to one IBI, that of the highest valuation.

How can I pay municipal taxes?

1. Direct Debit - You need to fill in a direct debit form, which may be obtained from the Municipal Treasury in Arroyo de la Miel, Paseo de Generalife, s/n or in the Town Hall of Benalmadena Pueblo, Av. Juan Luis Peralta 20.

2. Bank - You can pay at one of the following banks: Banesto, BBVA, Cajamar, CAM, Cajasol, La Caixa, Unicaja, Banco Popular, Banco de Andalucía, Caixa Catalunya, BBK, Caja Rural Granada, Banco Pastor y Cajasur, within the dates specified on the bill.
