The Irish community celebrates St. Patrick's Day every 17th of March, a festivity that will also be celebrated intensely in Benalmádena, with a parade starting at 13:00 from the Arroyo de la Miel Train Station towards Plaza de la Mezquita. The celebration will take place throughout the afternoon with typical music, drinks, and food. Performances by BANDido, Dance & Dreams, Mama Catch, Stephen Kelly, and The Hype U2 Tribute are scheduled.
The Foreign Residents' Delegation of Benalmádena Town Hall has a close connection with this community, which has chosen Benalmádena as their temporary or permanent residence. In 1997, Tony Bell founded the Irish Association of Spain in the municipality, and since then, he has collaborated with the Town Hall to provide assistance to the Irish who have chosen Benalmádena as their home, also cooperating each year in the celebration of St. Patrick's Day.
