Richard was born in London in 1950. Ever since he was a child, he showed he had a gift for painting and drawing. Since 1976, he has exclusively worked as a professional artist. He has moved his  studio from Colne in the UK to Mijas.

His paintings have a traditional figurative style both in oil and watercolours.  Landscapes and images are represented in detail with fine brush stokes.

His most recent works are influenced by his new Spanish environment, such as Cordoba, Seville, Granada and Mijas.
