BENALROMA: WHAT DID OUR ROMAN ANCESTORS EAT IN BENALMÁDENA? CHILDREN'S WORKSHOP ON ROMAN GASTRONOMY

This workshop offers an introduction to archaeo-gastronomy in a format similar to that of a 'master chef' program, allowing participants to enjoy the content in a practical and experiential way. After an assembly in which the peculiarities and innovations of the Roman period in terms of food will be explained, rules and guidelines for interpreting the recipes, use of the facilities, timing, and presentation of dishes will be provided. Based on the recipe book 'De Re Coquinaria' by the Roman gastronome Apicius and other Roman sources, several recipes will be prepared.
