INAUGURATION OF THE MEXICAN DAY OF THE DEAD ALTAR
6:00 PM
For twenty years, the Felipe Orlando Pre-Columbian Museum has paid homage to its founder with a Mexican Day of the Dead altar. Marigolds, candles, papel picado (cut paper banners), water, salt, photographs, and offerings… elements that create a small work of art full of memories, but also of life.
The 2026 Day of the Dead altar season opens with a guided tour of the altar at 6:00 PM. This tour will be repeated every Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 AM until November 8. Until then, you can also visit this spectacular installation on your own during the Museum's regular opening hours.
In addition, take home a souvenir of the Mexican Day of the Dead by contributing to our creative space on the main floor. Free activity for all ages. Free admission.
